Ray started out as a Southern Race Series competitor in the late 1980s and by 1990 was instructing for us – and still winning races, of course… In a 24 hour race at Mexico’s famous Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit, Ray and his teammates were slicing up through the field, lapping at the same speed as the leaders, until the engine let go.
