Autobahn is a new country club race track that’s fast becoming very popular with enthusiasts. In Joliet, Ill., only 45 minutes west of Chicago, Autobahn is a multi-configurable venue. The North Course is an exciting mix of corner types: Turn 2 is Sebring-style hairpin, followed by a geometrically "perfect" Esses complex (T3-T4-T5). Turn 6 is a less than 90-degree righthander, followed by a nice straight and then a perfect-90 lefthander. The last two corners, 8 & 9, comprise an increasing-radius righthand complex that shoots you onto the front straight. Great stuff…
