Newly constructed in 1999 on the site of a World War II fighter-training base, and located about four miles south of Kershaw, S.C., Carolina Motorsports Park is a terrific track to race on; modern, lots of run-off, really good passing zones – and free wireless internet. The full course is a 14-turn, 2.279-mile layout and has two long straights, one that begins after a first-gear righthander, the other from a third gear triple-apexer. Scott Speed won a race here in 2002 when he was racing in the Skip Barber National. Carolina Motorsports Park is located approximately one hour south of Charlotte, N.C.
