Skip Barber Racing has long been the leader in awarding auto racing scholarships to deserving young talent. It began in 1992, with our groundbreaking $100,000 "Career Enhancement Award." Over the years, we've fine-tuned the various scholarships, giving careful and experienced thought to the process, to assure that the most talented young drivers are given the best, most effective opportunities to succeed on racing's ladder system.

It begins with the Karting Scholarship Shoot-out, an annual program where we award more than $130,000 to star karters intent on professional auto racing careers, including the grand prize of a funded season in the BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda, valued at more than $40,000.

Racing in support of several professional racing series, the Skip Barber is the entry-level professional racing series that started the careers of Marco Andretti, Scott Speed, Gerardo Bonilla, and 2006 National Champion Jonathan Goring. The winner of the National earns a fully funded season in the Star Mazda series, a value of more than $350,000!

Do our scholarship and race series systems work? Ask Marco Andretti, Ryan Hunter-Reay, A.J. Allmendinger, Juan Pablo Montoya and hundreds of other racing professionals where they got the biggest jump on their auto racing careers. Their answers are all the same -- Skip Barber Racing.
