This historic track, located near the North Carolina border in Danville, Virginia, is one of the most challenging road courses in the country. The 1.6-mile South Course features a 3,000-foot straightaway, 70-feet of elevation change and challenging turns, such as the legendary Oak Tree Bend and a flowing left-right-left turn sequence.A complex with flexibility, VIR can be configured in multiple layouts to accommodate amateur and professional automobile and motorcycle events. Full course is a 17-turn, 3.27 miles. Additional layouts include North Course [2.25-miles], South Course [1.65-miles] and Patriot Course [1.1-miles]. The popular compound is located 12 miles East of Danville, Virginia and 60 miles from Raleigh and Greensboro, North Carolina.
