Dozens of Warm Weather Schools Now ScheduledOct 30, 2007
Tuesday, October 30, 2007 When the leaves hit the ground in the Midwest and East, that’s the signal for Skip Barber’s cars and crew to head to Florida and Georgia! Every year, we conduct all of our Schools and many Race Series events between November and April at three famous tracks in sunny Florida, one in Atlanta and of course, year round in California, at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey.
Yes, the complete 2007 – 2008 schedules for Racing Schools, Driving Schools and High Performance Driving Schools at the best tracks and venues in Florida — plus Georgia and California — are published and online (and practically memorized by our crack staff of School & Series Advisors).
You can do the Three Day Racing School in either the traditional formula car or in one of the world’s best sports cars, race-prepared Mazda MX-5 Miatas. You can choose from one of our three great Florida race tracks (see below) as well as Laguna Seca and Road Atlanta.
We schedule all the Skip Barber Driving Schools and High Performance Driving Schools at our Florida base location, Sebring International Raceway. Sebring provides the best learning environment for these kinds of programs thanks to state of the art skidpads and autocrosses. Of course, the High Performance Schools also include track time – and Sebring is one of the best.
Call today to learn more. In the meantime, here are some brief descriptions of our warm weather facilities…
Sebring International Raceway: Every racing and driving school we have is available at Sebring International Raceway, about 75 minutes south of Orlando. The Sebring facility is revered around the world – virtually every famous driver has driven here at some point in their career – and the area has become an important Central Florida hub.
Moroso Motorsports Park: Near the heart of Florida’s ‘‘Palm Beaches,’’ just north of Miami, Moroso is a terrific track to drive – and the track you want if your trip to a Skip Barber School includes being close to the beach. And the dining and night life in West Palm Beach is not to be missed.
Homestead Miami Speedway: Just a hop, skip and a jump south of Miami, Homestead is one of the best facilities in America, not just Florida. It is a multi-configurable NASCAR oval combined with a Grand-Am road course that makes for a great training ground.
Road Atlanta: About an hour north of Atlanta, Road Atlanta is one of the best racing and driving facilities in the world. In 2007 Road Atlanta became a Skip Barber base location, so just like Sebring, virtually every program we offer is available here.
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca: Tremendous elevation changes, the famous Corkscrew complex, 2.24 sinewy miles… One of the world’s great circuits, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is located in one of North America’s best destination locations — the Monterey Peninsula. From world class dining to world class driving, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is a favorite for our Corporate Event clients as well as the thousands of annual racing and driving school customers. As a Skip Barber base, every program we sell is available here.
