Wednesday, June 25, 2008 LAKEVILLE, Conn. – With the IRL-Champ Car unification, the number of Skip Barber-trained drivers in the IndyCar Series has swelled to an impressive nine regular competitors. And in its primary support series, Indy Lights, there are at least a dozen SBRS drivers each race weekend.
Look at this list from IndyCar… Marco Andretti, Dan Wheldon, Helio Castroneves, Danica Patrick, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Tony Kanaan, Ed Carpenter, Ernesto “E.J.” Viso and Milka Duno, plus Indy 500 starters Townsend Bell, John Andretti, Sarah Fisher and Jeff Simmons.
In Indy Lights, a typical race weekend entry list looks like a Skip Barber customer list!
