Skip Barber announces Track Experience programApr 03, 2010
Saturday, April 03, 2010 Skip Barber Racing School today announced the Skip Barber Track Experience program, a series of Open House events at its base locations to run during the 2010 season. The first event is April 26 at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut. Dates for events at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Road Atlanta and Sebring International Raceway will be announced in the coming weeks.
“The concept behind the Skip Barber Track Experience is to let people learn more about us by getting a taste of what we are all about,” commented spokesman Jim Altemus. “We want people who don’t know about us to see and feel up close the excitement Skip Barber Racing School provides and the skills we teach to make faster, better, safer drivers.”
Several activities are planned for The Skip Barber Track Experience, including:
— Drive a Mazda sports car on Lime Rock Park’s Autocross and Skidpad training areas
— Ride with a Skip Barber instructor on the 1.53 mile Lime Rock Park racetrack in a race-modified Mazda MX-5 Cup race car.
— Ride on the autocross with an instructor in one of our High Performance Driving School cars.
— Sign up for track-side-only discounts on upcoming Skip Barber programs
