Nick Andries Earns Skip Barber National Win at Road Atlanta
Oct 01, 2010Friday, October 01, 2010 Braselton, GA. (Oct 1). In typical Skip Barber fashion, the final round of the 2010 BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda at Road Atlanta proved to be yet another nail biter. Each lap, the young drivers raced incredibly close, constantly trading positions for the lead, with the final positions remaining unknown until the checker flag flew.
Nick Andries started eighth and grabbed the lead in the final turns of the last lap, earning his first win of the season. MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development driver Felix Serralles finished in second and Ashley Freiberg rounded out the podium. Championship winner Spencer Pigot finished fourth and runner up Isaac Lyons finished seventh, masterfully recovering from a spin on the front straight.
