ANNOUNCING THE 2013-2014 SKIP BARBER RACING SCHOOL WINTER SERIES AND MAZDASPEED CHALLENGE SCHEDULE

(July 17, 2013) Taking place at legendary race tracks around the country, the Skip Barber Winter Series brings talented racers, race industry experts, and race enthusiasts together as the racers compete for two championships in either the Skip Barber Formula 2000 R/T or the MAZDASPEED MX-5 race cars.

Drivers compete in multiple races per weekend as they battle for their cut of the potential $290,000 in Skip Barber Racing School awards.

Year after year, the Skip Barber Race Series has served as the proving ground for what becomes the top talent in global motorsports. Champions like Ryan Hunter-Reay, John Edwards and many others were shaped in these equal-car Skip Barber Race Series events under the watchful eye of the renowned Skip Barber Racing School instructor core.

2013-2014 Winter Series

Over the course of six weekends from November to April, the Formula Skip Barber 2000 drivers will compete for $162,500 in awards including coveted spots in the 2014 Skip Barber Race Series Championship Shootout, which boasts a major driver development scholarship through MAZDASPEED Motorsports.

Rounds 5 & 6 at Homestead-Miami Speedway Road Course – January 15-19, 2014
Rounds 7 & 8 at Sebring International Raceway – February 12-16, 2014
Rounds 9 & 10 at NOLA Motorsports Park – March 6-8, 2014
Rounds 11 & 12 at Sebring International Raceway – April 1-5, 2014
