Joey Logano won the NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, locking himself into the Championship 4 race at Phoenix. A bold pit strategy brought him down for fresh tires late in the race. Within the first lap on the final restart, Logano had already made his from the middle of the pack to third and made his race-winning pass with 3 laps to go. It was a Skip Barber Alumni podium sweep as Ross Chastain finished in the runner-up position and is seated second in the NASCAR Playoffs with a great shot at making his way into the Championship 4 race. Kyle Busch finished third in his final season running in the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota at his hometown track.
Noah Gragson continues to dominate in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, finishing runner-up in this past weekend’s race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In front of a hometown crowd, Gragson led a race-best 87 laps behind the wheel of the No. 9 JR Motorsports Chevrolet and narrowly missed out on the win by 1.125 seconds. Gragson is currently ranked second in the NASCAR Playoffs.
