Skip Barber Alumni Win at SCCA Super Tour Sebring

SCCA kicked off their 2023 Super Tour season this past weekend at Sebring International Raceway, with many Skip Barber graduates taking the top step of the podium. Three Skip Barber graduates claimed back-to-back wins, including Skip Barber Instructor and Skip Barber Race Team Driver Mike Ogren. In H Production, Ogren not only won both races during the event but set the track record in class with a 2:34.728 behind the wheel of his Volkswagen Scirocco. Another Skip Barber grad was able to pull the same feat in Prototype 1 as 2011 Skip Barber graduate Chip Romer checked off two victories and a track record, running the fastest SCCA lap ever at Sebring International Raceway with a 1:46.442 in his Elan DP08. Wisconsin native J.R. Smart, who completed his Skip Barber 2-Day Advanced School in 2010, swept the weekend in Formula Atlantic.
