This track, crafted onto, not into, the landscape of the Appalachian foothills, has played host to dramatic moments in racing since it opened in 1957. From top tier sports car racing with the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship to being a staple on the schedules of regional and club racing series, VIR is truly a driver's track.
Plus, VIR is the home of the Skip Barber Racing School. You'll ascend a seemingly innocuous staircase whose top step reveals a panorama view of the operations of the world's largest racing school. For now, a sneak peek will have to suffice.
