Respect The Bumps
When World War II ended, the U.S. Army closed the curtains on Hendricks Army Airfield, bringing with it the fleet of B-17 and B-24 aircraft and crew which trained there. Now there sat an assortment of dormant runways, taxiways, and aprons, in other words, a blank sheet to design a race track on. The result was Sebring International Raceway, a fierce track whose history, and most importantly its bumpy surface, speak for themselves.
The track now hosts one of the crown jewels of sportscar and endurance racing: the IMSA 12 Hours of Sebring. The well-worn surface also welcomes TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School and the Skip Barber Race Series.
