Lime Rock Park

Our Original Home

Nestled in northwest Connecticut is one of America's most revered circuits, Lime Rock Park. It was here in 1975 that our founder, Skip Barber, began instructing the first groups of students at his newly created Racing School. Over 50 years later, we're still turning drivers into champions around the track's 1.530-mile circuit consisting of six righthand corners and one lefthand corner. No bonus points for guessing the name of that lone left-handed corner, though. (It's 'The Left Hander').

Today, the track plays host to events on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, ARCA, and Trans-Am calendars. The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series will return to the venue in 2027.

KEYS TO LIME ROCK PARK

WEATHER

Lime Rock Park's location in the Green Mountain creates an often unpredictable climate. Dress in layers and be prepared with a rain coat for any program at Lime Rock Park, no matter what the app may say about the day's forecast.

Hotels

Traditional hotel offerings in the region are limited. We encourage students to have a look at options such as AirBnB or Vrbo to find a quiet and comfortable option with some New England charm.

Getting There

Lime Rock Park can be reached by a variety of airport options with New York's La Guardia offering a good balance between frequent flights and a drive to the track (just over two hours depending on traffic) that's not too taxing. Smaller airports such as Hartford's Bradley (BDL) or Albany (ALB) offer shorter drive times.

Other Points

We highly recommend reserving a rental vehicle for your time at Lime Rock Park. Ride share services can be limited in the area. Additionally, please allow adequate transport time to and from the track when booking flights.
