Wednesday, May 21, 2008 The field is set for the 92nd running of the Indianapolis 500, and once again Skip Barber is well represented. When the field of 33 takes the green flag Memorial Day Sunday, 13 of those drivers will be Skip Barber alumni (that's 39.3% of the field). In fact, there are seven SBRS-trained drivers inside the first four rows. All three of the women in the starting lineup come from Skip Barber, while two of the 11 drivers making their first Indy 500 start are family: 1999 Skip Barber National champion Ryan Hunter-Reay and 2001 Eastern Series champion Ernesto Viso. 92nd Indianapolis 500 starting lineup (car number in parentheses) Skip Barber alum in bold: 1.
