2015 Skip Barber Karts to Cars Scholarship Shootout Set to Take Place at Historic NOLA Motorsports Park
Braselton, Ga. (Feb. 10, 2015) - Karters will head south on October 26-28, 2015 to NOLA Motorsports Park for the 2015 Skip Barber Racing School Karts To Cars Scholarship Shootout. The annual event will gather up to 40 of the world's best karters to compete for scholarship prizes later this year. In the 19th iteration of the Karts to Cars Shootout, Skip Barber Racing School will be reaching out to more karting organizations than ever to ensure that the event will field the best karters in the world for the event. Additionally, the event will open up enrollment by allowing all karters over 12 years of age to compete. This unique event will allow the karters to grow as racers and prepare for the next step in open-wheel racing.
The awards for this year’s competition are as follows: - 1st Place: Full Season in the 2015 – 2016 Skip Barber Winter OR Summer Race Series
- 2nd Place: $15,000 Skip Barber Race Series Scholarship
- 3rd Place: $10,000 Skip Barber Race Series Scholarship
- Current outdoor karting experience
- One Skip Barber 3 Day Racing School
