Sergio Perez finished runner-up in this past weekend’s F1 race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Checo qualified sixth for the Spanish Grand Prix and had an amazing start moving up to fourth in the first corner. Perez landed in runner-up position after a pass on George Russell during the pit cycles to bring home his third podium finish of the season. The Red Bull Racing driver sits third in the points standings. Texas Motor Speedway hosted all three premiere NASCAR series for the All-Star race weekend. The first race of the weekend was the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race. Two Skip Barber graduates finished in the Top 5 as Christian Eckes finished runner-up and Carson Hocevar finished fourth. Both Eckes and Hocevar came to Skip Barber for advanced coaching. Fellow advanced coaching graduate Austin Hill finished fifth in the Xfinity Series race. In the Cup Series All-Star race, Daytona 500 winner Austin Cindric went on to finish third. Cindric came to Skip Barber Racing School and completed the 3-Day Racing School, 2-Day Advanced, and competed in the Skip Barber Race Series.
