Sergio Perez claimed his seventh podium finish of the season after finishing runner-up in the Formula 1 Belgium Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. Perez started the race from the second-place position but was unable to contend with his Red Bull Racing teammate Max Verstappen for the win. Not only was it a Red Bull Racing 1-2 finish at Spa, but the two drivers also lock up the top two positions in the points standings with Perez in second. When making his transitions from karts to cars, Perez competed in the Skip Barber Race Series in 2004. A pair of Skip Barber graduates placed on the podium in their respective classes in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race at VIRginia International Raceway. Jordan Taylor had the speed to win in the GTD PRO class, but a perfect fuel strategy from the team ahead would relegate the No. 3 Corvette C8.R GTD to the runner-up position. In GTD, Bryan Sellers piloted the Paul Miller Racing No. 1 BMW M4 GT3 to a third-place podium position. Sellers led laps with 30 minutes to go but fell back to third after the pit cycle. Austin Cindric survived the superspeedway chaos and weather delays to claim his fourth NASCAR Cup Series podium finish of the season at Daytona International Speedway. Cindric had his No. 2 Team Penske Ford in the perfect position to win but was pushed out of the way with three laps to go. Fortunately, Cindric showed his incredible car control and rallied back to a third-place finish. At the start of his career, Cindric competed in the Skip Barber Race Series. In his limited NASCAR Cup Series schedule, Noah Gragson wheeled the No. 62 Beard Motorsports Chevrolet to fifth place, his best NASCAR Cup Series finish so far in his early career. Gragson has visited the Skip Barber Racing School on multiple occasions for private coaching and, on select race weekends, has Skip Barber Instructor Carter Fartuch as a spotter / driver coach. The Road Course Ringer showed his strength in superspeedway racing on the banks of Daytona as A.J. Allmendinger claimed his ninth podium finish in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race.
