Sergio Perez claimed the victory in the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix this weekend from the pole position. Checo dominated the race, leading 47 of the 50 laps and assisting in a Red Bull Racing 1-2 finish. After a successful career in karting, Perez transitioned to cars from karts with Skip Barber and competed in the 2004 Skip Barber Race Series. Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow secured the GTD class victory in the historic 12 Hours of Sebring. In GTD Pro, another pair of Skip Barber graduates, Jordan Taylor and Tommy Milner bounced back from issues to secure a Top 5 finish. The No. 3 Corvette Racing Chevrolet led laps early but a suspension failure caused the team to go a lap down but were able to fight back to the lead lap and a fifth-place finish. Reigning NASCAR Cup Series Champion and Skip Barber grad Joey Logano won the NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Logano started the race from the pole position and led the most laps, with the No. 22 Team Penske Ford out front for 140 of the 260 laps. Logano leads the NASCAR Cup Series standings. Austin Hill secured his third NASCAR Xfinity Series win of the season at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Hill led the most laps, with 103 laps led, and avoided the last lap wreck at the front of the field to take the checkered flag. The No. 21 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet driver, leads the Xfinity Series standings. Fellow Skip Barber grad Parker Kligerman finished fourth, his best finish of the 2023 season. Kligerman returns to full-time racing this season, piloting the No. 48 Big Machine Racing Chevrolet. In an overtime finish, Christian Eckes claimed his second career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Eckes, driver of the No. 19 McAnally-Hilgemann Racing Chevrolet, led the first 30-lap stage, but a pit road speeding penalty would put him towards the back of the pack. Eckes worked his way back through the field and avoided a record 11 cautions throughout the race to take his first win of the season. John Hunter Nemechek brought his No. 17 TRICON Garage Toyota home in third place. Nemechek led the most laps throughout the race, with 53 laps led.
