Skip Barber Alumni claimed 3 of the Top 5 finishing spots in the Superstar Racing Experience race at Stafford Motor Speedway. Ryan Newman wheeled his way to his first-ever Superstar Racing Experience win. In the closing laps, Newman made his pass for the win on fellow Skip Barber grad Marco Andretti, who ended the night in second place. Newman shared an emotional victory celebration with his two daughters and wife by his side. Rounding out the Top 5 was Bobby Labonte after another solid Top 5 finish for the NASCAR Hall of Famer.Sergio Perez picked up his sixth podium finish this past weekend at Silverstone. After receiving contact in the major crash on the start, Perez had to pit for a new front wing dropping him back to 17th, but thanks to his incredible driving talent and pit strategy, he was able to fight his way back to a second-place finish. Checo still holds second in the championship, only 34 points back from his teammate Max Verstappen.Ross Chastain finished fourth in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Road America. Chastain’s drive at Elkhart Lake led him to his ninth podium finish of the season. The Watermelon Man currently sits third in the NASCAR Cup Series standings and is locked into the NASCAR Playoffs after his wins at Circuit of the Americas and Talladega Superspeedway.In the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Road America, Austin Hill raced his way to a fourth-place finish. Hill managed to survive the restarts to grab his seventh Top 5 finish of the season and his third on a road course. With his win at the season opener at Daytona, Hill sits eighth in the NASCAR Xfinity Series standings and is locked into the NASCAR Playoffs.
