Alumni of the Skip Barber Racing School claimed their first-career NASCAR Cup Series victory, earned podium finishes in TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School, and swept the podium in GT World Challenge, America from Circuit of the Americas. In TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School, Logan Anderson and Dean Lambros, competing with Skip Barber Racing, both earned top-five finishes in Race 2. Lambros, a former Skip Barber Race Series driver, had a pair of second-place finishes while Anderson’s remarkable efforts yielded him his career-best finish in Touring Car racing. Meanwhile at Road America, Skip Barber Racing’s World Racing League team earned a second-place finish in Saturday’s eight-hour race. Saverio Striglia III, Dylan Weber, and Ryan Emani, who impressed in their debuts at Barber Motorsports Park earlier in the season, were joined by Robert Mosteller for this weekend. All of the drivers in Skip Barber Racing’s sportscar entries began in traditional Racing Schools such as the Three Day Racing School. Anderson, who completed his first Skip Barber Racing School program last year, quickly rose through the ranks with outings in the Skip Barber Race Series. In the fall of last year, ahead of his first season of professional racing, Striglia completed Advanced Coaching in both the Skip Barber GT car and Skip Barber Formula Car. Graduate Carson Hocevar won the NASCAR Cup Series race from Talladega. The rising star went on to turn heads with his celebration that featured him riding on the side of the car as he waved to the fans – a move that we don’t necessarily teach at Skip Barber but we’re proud to see nonetheless! Sunday’s top-ten was filled with Skip Barber graduates as Chris Buescher (2nd), Alex Bowman (3rd), Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (6th), Ross Chastain (7th), Austin Cindric (8th), Noah Gragson (9th), and Kyle Busch (10th) all had strong finishes. In the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race, alumni Sammy Smith (4th), Brandon Jones (8th), and Parker Retzlaff (9th) all finished in the top ten. At Circuit of the Americas, Michai Stephens, Robby Foley, Justin Rothberg, and Michael McCann all finished on the podium in GT World Challenge America. Stephens took home the top honors, Foley and Rothberg combined to finished second, and McCann rounded out the top three. Many of the top drivers from COTA began their careers with Three Day Racing Schools in Skip Barber’s GT car. Finally, in GT4 America, Kenton Koch won the Pro-Am class, Westin Workman finished fourth in Silver, and Michael Petramalo was fifth in Pro-Am. Graduates Beltre Curtis and Michael Edwards continued the success in Toyota GR Cup North America with top-ten finishes in Race 1 of the weekend.
