Cooper Broll, Tommy Pintos Form Formidable McLaren Trophy Lineup

A homegrown Skip Barber Racing School talent and the reigning McLaren Trophy, Europe champion will join forces to form a formidable pairing in the 2025 McLaren Trophy, America season. California’s Cooper Broll will join Spain’s Tommy Pintos in the debut season for McLaren Trophy, America, sharing a McLaren Artura Trophy EVO for the 2025 season. Broll began his motorsports career with a 3 Day Racing School before joining Skip Barber Racing for a multi-year TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School program. Pintos, meanwhile, will make his Skip Barber debut when the duo hits the track at Sonoma Raceway next week. “Racing in the McLaren Trophy America with Skip Barber is not just about competing; it’s about being part of motorsport history,” Pintos said. “This legendary team has shaped great champions and now opens the door to a new challenge: winning the first-ever edition of the McLaren Trophy, America.” Tommy Pintos After his championship-winning season in 2023 and being Vice Champion in 2024, Pintos was tapped by McLaren to join the brand’s Graduate Driver program, placing him on the path towards full-factory status. “Furthermore, being part of McLaren’s program as a Graduate Factory Driver is a major step in my career and a true honor to represent McLaren in the United States, carrying its colors and legacy into this new competition. I’m also very excited to team up with Cooper, a talented and determined driver, it’s going to be a really interesting season,” Pintos added. Broll, meanwhile, is coming off a season in which he scored multiple podium finishes in TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School. His journey to motorsports, complicated by Lyme disease, serves as a testament to his commitment to competing. “A few years ago, I never could have imagined being here — preparing to race in one of the top championships in the United States,” Broll explained. “My journey has been anything but easy; Lyme disease sidelined me for years, but racing gave me a second chance. Competing in McLaren Trophy, America is a dream come true, and I can’t wait to take on some of the most iconic tracks in the country. This season is going to be unforgettable,” Broll said. The 2025 McLaren Trophy, America season will visit many of the United States’ most revered tracks including the Sonoma Raceway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway who will bookend the season and Skip Barber’s home track of VIRginia International Raceway. “Bringing Cooper and Tommy together creates a picture-perfect lineup for us to tackle this season,” Skip Barber Racing team manager Joe Monitto said. “I’ve had the pleasure of watching Cooper develop from a student in our racing schools to a competitor with our racing team and I know he’s prepared for this next step in his career.
