The Skip Barber Formula Race Series is back in action this weekend at Watkins Glen International in conjunction with the SRO GT World Challenge Weekend. Marked as one of the most legendary tracks in North America, the 3.45-mile road course is set to host the third round of the Skip Barber Formula Race Series. The drivers will be as equally experienced with this car and track combo as it will be the first time the new Skip Barber Formula car takes to the historic circuit.Top drivers across all motorsports across the world have started their racing journey through the Race Series. Sergio Perez, Alexander Rossi, Josef Newgarden, Ryan Hunter-Reay, A.J. Allmendinger, and Juan Pablo Montoya are some of the names of previous Skip Barber Race Series drivers. With equalized race cars and a focus on driver development, the Skip Barber Formula Race Series is the perfect platform for aspiring racers to jumpstart their racing dreams.Jeshua Alianell travels to New York as the points leader by only a margin of 9 points over Bobby Krug. Last year's Vice Champion Alianell is the only driver that has placed on the podium in all four races so far this year, with his first and only win coming in Race 1 at VIRginia International Raceway. Krug has shown impressive improvement since his debut season last year, claiming his first win ever in Race 2 at VIRginia International Raceway. The 2022 Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series Vice Champion Elvis Rankin is within striking distance of the front runners. Rankin faced some adversity in Round 2 at VIRginia International Raceway and is looking to turn it around at The Glen. The Top 5 in the points standings are 2022 Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series Champion Mikkel Gade in fourth and Skip Barber Formula Race Series Veteran Will Lambros in fifth.Rocco Orlando currently leads in the Masters' division after sweeping the class at VIRginia International Raceway. After his debut race weekend, Edgar White takes over the second spot, 41 points behind Orlando.
