Jack Mohrhardt will compete in the iconic Skip Barber Race Series for the 2024 campaign. Originally from Michigan, Mohrhardt enters the Skip Barber Race Series after outings at the Homestead Karting Circuit near his new hometown of Boca Raton, Florida. Like many others, Mohrhardt was introduced to racing through his father when they attended vintage races at Road America. “My dad took me to my first race in the summer of 2012. It was the yearly vintage race at Road America, and I fell in love with it. My dad and I go back to Road America every year for the IndyCar race,” Mohrhardt explained. The 16-year-old Mohrhardt discovered the Skip Barber Race Series while reading about Josef Newgarden’s path to IndyCar. Newgarden spent three seasons with the Skip Barber Race Series when he was beginning his journey in car racing. Previously, Mohrhardt completed a Three-Day Racing School and a Two-Day Advanced Racing School in Sebring “My biggest goal for the season is, of course, to win the championship,” he said. “More realistically, I’m hoping for a couple podium finishes and to take every opportunity to develop my knowledge and refine my skills. I look forward to developing friendships with other racers that will take us into the future,” Mohrhardt added. The 2024 Skip Barber Race Series begins on March 1 and will visit six iconic tracks across the United States for a total of 14 races. The champion will receive a $100,000 scholarship to advance to a USF-sanctioned series. Second place receives a full-season entry into the 2025 Skip Barber Race Series while third place receives a half season. In total, $375,000 in prizes will be awarded in the 2024 Skip Barber Race Series.
