He was the first-ever to win the MAZDASPEED Pro Challenge, which ran its inaugural season in 2012, and can add the 2013 MAZDASPEED Challenge Winter Series Championship to his trophy case. Hixon finished on the podium in 11 of the 12 rounds including 5 wins. Felix Borodaty won the Skip Barber MX-5 Master's Series. This is his first Master's Series title. He finished the year with 1 win and 4 podium finishes. Each master's series runs concurrently within the race series for drivers over 40 years old--master--and over 50--grand masters. In the Skip Barber Formula Master's Series, Bobby Eberle, posing here with his son Trace, won his 1st title. He finished the year with 1 win and 3 podium
finishes. Eberle got his first Skip Barber Race Series victory and victory lap--"The Best Ride in Motorsports"--in the very last race of the series. This is Eberle's second consecutive Formula Master's podium finish. He finished 2nd in the 2012 Summer Series. During his acceptance speech at the banquet, an emotional Eberle said, "The two things I have a passion for are tennis and racing. After I hurt my back and had to wear what I call my 'turtle shell' for months, I got a little more curious about racing.
