Skip Barber Racing School is pleased to welcome Ian Osuna to the grid for the 2026 Skip Barber Race Series. For Osuna, the upcoming season represents a meaningful step forward in his development as a driver, with an eye toward long-term progression and a professional career in motorsport. Osuna enters the Skip Barber Race Series after competing in the Skip Barber Race Series Winter Shootout at Circuit of the Americas. There, he put his talents on display in front of Skip Barber's most senior and experienced instructors. After finishing third in the Winter Shootout, Osuna parlayed that success into a Skip Barber Race Series campaign that will begin next month at Sebring International Raceway. "This 2026 Skip Barber Race Series program represents a step forward in my racing career," Osuna said. "It gives me the opportunity to prove to myself that I am going in the right direction. It's also an opportunity to apply everything I've learned so far in a competitive environment while continuing to develop the discipline, racecraft, and consistency required to move up in racing." His primary goals for the season center on consistent top finishes, strong qualifying performance, and clean race execution. Prior to his time with Skip Barber, Osuna was the NXG Youth Motorsports GP Series Champion and competed in a variety of karting events. He now serves as an NXG Youth Motorsports Ambassador. With the Skip Barber Race Series Winter Shootout came the opportunity to compete on some of the country's premier circuits, a fact that drove Osuna to chase the Shootout's prizes. "What excites me most is my chance to race at some of the best tracks in the U.S. in a formula car," Osuna said. "There's something special about the precision of a formula car. Every input matters, and that level of connection between driver and car is what makes this opportunity so exciting." Away from motorsports, Osuna competes in a variety of sports including track and soccer in his hometown of Troy, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. "I'm focused on steady progress, learning from every session, and positioning myself for long-term success in racing," Osuna said. "My end goal is to be a professional driver."
