Skip Barber Race Series champion Sebastian Wheldon finished on the podium at the Formula Regional European Championship race from the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola. Wheldon is currently second in the Driver’s Standings with two races left to run, a doubleheader at Hockenheim in Germany. Throughout the season, Wheldon has amassed seven podium finishes, including three victories.
At WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, the NTT IndyCar Series and Indy NXT Series wrapped up their 2026 seasons with Skip Barber alumni Kyle Kirkwood (2nd) and Alexander Rossi (3rd) finishing on the podium in the season finale. In Indy NXT, Myles Rowe (6th in Race 2) and Max Taylor (7th in Race 1) had strong finishes to their 2026 campaigns. Taylor ended the season fourth in the Driver’s Standings while Rowe was eighth, in both cases they were the best-placed driver on their respective teams.
The NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, meanwhile, opened their respective Chases from The Track too Tough to Tame, Darlington Raceway. There, Skip Barber graduate Josh Berry continued his hot stretch. After netting just two top-ten finishes in the first 21 races of the season, Berry has rattled off six-consecutive top-ten finishes, including a pair of top-five results.
Fellow Skip Barber graduates Bubba Wallace (8th) and Joey Logano (9th) finished in the top ten in NASCAR’s Southern 500, one of the series’ crown jewel races. Wallace led 38 laps and finished second in Stage 1, leaving him in tenth after the opening round of The Chase. In the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race, Skip Barber alumni Sammy Smith (4th), Austin Hill (5th), and Anthony Alfredo (6th), finished in the top ten.
Finally, Lime Rock Park held the Historic Festival 44 where a number of Skip Barber Racing School graduates were on hand to compete in a variety of machines ranging from Leo Zick’s 2002 BMW M3 to Kurt Uzbay in a 1962 Lotus 23B. Other entries from Skip Barber graduates included Scott Joy (1969 Datsun 510), John Stoukides (1982 Lola 594), and Ralph Salomon (1962 Bobsy SR2).
