Skip Barber Racing School proudly announces that Rob Tarlton will compete full-time in the 2023 Skip Barber Formula Race Series season. The 35-year-old California native is set to make his first pro racing start after completing his 3-Day and 2-Day Advanced Racing Schools at Circuit of the Americas. As a teenager, Tarlton was interested in racing and participated in sim racing, but with the help of the Skip Barber Racing Series, Rob will now get his first opportunity to race head-to-head against other competitors. .Rob Tarlton will compete in the Masters class and one of the competitors he’ll be racing agaiinst will be his twin brother, Tom. “I chose the Skip Barber Formula Race Series because of the ability to arrive and drive Formula 4 cars with very little hassle,” Tarlton said. “I don’t have to worry about hiring a team or fielding my own car, Skip Barber takes care of it all so that I can focus on racing and developing my driver skills.” For his debut season, Tarlton aims to simply gain experience and build racing credentials to be able to climb the racing ladder. Tarlton’s long-term goal is compete in IMSA as a gentleman driver. In his free-time, you will find Tarlton preparing and practicing for the Formula Series racing on the simulator. The 2023 Skip Barber Race Series Champion will win a scholarship to compete in the 2024 USF Juniors or USF2000 season, with second place receiving a full-season scholarship to compete in the Skip Barber Formula Race Series and third receiving a half-season Skip Barber Formula Race Series scholarship.
