Alumni of the Skip Barber Racing School finished on the podium at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, found victory lane at Watkins Glen International, and battled the heat of Sebring International Raceway to sweep the weekend in two different series. Among the highlights of the weekend was Kenton Koch securing a pair of victories in GT4 America's Pro-Am class and brothers Alex and Michael Garcia earning a win in the Am class. Fellow graduate Andre Castro, meanwhile, swept the TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School weekend. Dean Lambros netted a pair of top-five finishes while his Skip Barber Racing teammate Logan Anderson was seventh in both races of the weekend. While Skip Barber Racing weas doing battle under one awning, their neighbors in the paddock, the Skip Barber Race Series was preparing for its turn to take to the track. This weekend at Sebring marked the start of the 2026 Skip Barber Race Series season and saw Jaylan Battley sweep the weekend with Matt Ales claiming the Masters Class win in both races – with Ales challenging Battley for the overall win on both occasions. Aaron Vazquez, who won the Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series last season to earn his seat in the Skip Barber Race Series finished on the podium, as did Ian Osuna and Mark Jennes – all of whom were making their Race Series debuts. Other standout performances in GT4 America included Westin Workman scoring a pair of podium finishes in the Silver class and a plethora of alumni finishing in the top-five of the Pro-Am class: Michael Cooper (3rd), Roland Krainz (4th), and Michael Petramalo (5th in Race 1), and Chris Spada (5th in Race 2). In GT World Challenge America, graduates Robby Foley and Justin Rothberg took home the win in the Pro class. Finally, David Lecko was first in the Cup Class of GT America. At Watkins Glen, the full slate of NASCAR series was on hand to take on the iconic road course. Alumni Connor Zilisch was pulling triple duty with outings in all three series. He began his weekend with a runner-up finish in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series before finding victory lane in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race on Saturday. Chandler Smith (5th) and AJ Allmendinger (6th) were also in the top ten of the Truck Series race. The biggest storyline from Friday, however, went the way of Brendan Queen, who completed his first Skip Barber Racing School program, a One Day Racing School, at VIR earlier this month. After a twenty-fourth-place finish at St. Petersburg, Queen rebounded to finish and earn his best non-superspeedway result of the season. Other strong finishes in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series included Ross Chastain (4th), Brandon Jones (5th), and Parker Retzlaff (7th). Sunday's main event featured six alumni in the top ten with Michael McDowell (2nd), Austin Dillon (6th), AJ Allmendinger (7th), Kyle Busch (8th), Austin Cindric (9th), and John Hunter Nemechek (10th) with Nemechek's tenth-place being the best of his season. Nemechek trained with Skip Barber in our Advanced Coaching program on multiple occasions. Finally, in Indianapolis, the NTT IndyCar Series headlined a packed weekend of road-course racing from the speedway. Graham Rahal continued his hot streak with a third consecutive top-ten finish, and second podium of the season, with a third-place finish. Josef Newgarden (4th) and Kyle Kirkwood (9th) also finished in the top ten. In USF 2000, Skip Barber Race Series champion Oliver Wheldon began the next step of his racing career with a pair of podium finishes including a second-place result in the final race of the weekend. Former Skip Barber Race Series drivers Thomas Nordquist (9th in Race 3) and Ryan Giannetta (10th in Race 2) also had notable runs. In Indy NXT, alumni Max Taylor finished second in Race 2 after a top-five result in Race 1. Fellow graduate Myles Rowe was seventh in Race 1. Finally, Teddy Musella (3rd in Race 2) and Brady Golan (6th in Race 1) rounded out the weekend in USF Pro 2000.
