Shureed Kabir will join the Skip Barber Race Series for the 2026 season, marking the driver’s first full campaign in a structured motorsports championship. For Kabir, the upcoming season represents his entry point into competitive racing after completing multiple programs with the Skip Barber Racing School. “I’m looking forward to learning the ins and outs of the Skip Barber F4 car, finding pace on iconic circuits, and getting to know the other drivers,” Kabir said. “My goal is to extract the most out of the F4 car and the most out of myself as a driver,” he added. Kabir, who is from New York City, previously completed a Three Day Racing School at Circuit of the Americas. He joins a rapidly growing grid of drivers who will get their first taste of organized racing in the Skip Barber Race Series. “I’m looking to build a strong foundation to race competitively while also enjoying the experience as a hobby,” Kabir said. Away from the track, Kabir maintains his physicality by completing MMA training. Being prepared for the physicality of racing is one focus of Kabir’s off-season training regime. Previous competitors of the Skip Barber Race Series include INDYCAR Series champion Josef Newgarden, Formula 2 driver Sergio Perez, Cadillac Racing’s Sergio Perez, and reigning Series champions Oliver Wheldon and Sebastian Wheldon. With a focus on personal driver development and clean racing, the Skip Barber Race Series is the premier junior driver development series in the world.
