Alumni of the Skip Barber Racing School won races in GT World Challenge America, McLaren Trophy America, TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School, and the ARCA Menards Series East. With the SRO America season opening at Sonoma Raceway, there were plenty of opportunities for alumni to find success, and they delivered. The headlining victory of the weekend went to Michai Stephens, who clinched the overall win in GTWCA. Westin Workman swept the pair of races in GT4 America’s Silver class, while Judson Holt scored a pair of wins in the Am class. More standout performances in GT4 America included Sam Owen and Yves Baltas earning top-five finishes, Roland Krainz and Michael Petramalo finishing on the Pro-Am class podium, and the Garcia brothers, Alex and Michael, capturing a second-place finish in Race 2. In McLaren Trophy America, former Skip Barber Race Series driver Spencer Schmidt claimed back-to-back victories in Pro-Am, while Cooper Broll repeated that feat in the Am class. Skip Barber alumni Deniz Teoman, Scott Sorbaro, and Randy Highland all finished on the podium in the Am class in Race 1. In TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School, graduate Andre Castro delivered a pair of podium finishes, highlighted by a victory in Race 2. Skip Barber Racing’s Dean Lambros earned the Hard Charger Award in Race 1, followed by a podium in Race 2. At Martinsville Speedway, Skip Barber alumni Joey Logano (3rd), Austin Cindric (8th), and Josh Berry (10th) finished in the top ten on Sunday. Saturday’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series saw Sammy Smith (3rd), Austin Hill (6th), and Ross Chastain (8th) finish in the top ten. Finally, Tristan McKee began the ARCA Menards Series East season with a victory at Hickory Motor Speedway. McKee was joined in the top ten by former Skip Barber Race Series competitor Dystany Spurlock, who finished seventh in her ARCA debut.
