Skip Barber Racing School graduate Joey Logano claimed his third NASCAR Cup Series title after winning the season finale at Phoenix Raceway. Logano opened his playoff campaign with a win at Atlanta Motor Speedway and clinched a spot in the Championship 4 with another victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Sunday’s triumph in Phoenix matched his 2022 performance when Logano clinched the title with a race victory in the season finale. Logano has now been crowned champion in two of the Next-Gen car’s three seasons. In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, graduates AJ Allmendinger and Austin Hill entered the season finale with a shot at the crown. Alumni Christian Eckes finished third in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series after ending Friday night’s race behind a pair of Championship 4 foes. The final stats on the 2024 NASCAR season for Skip Barber graduates include a 41% victory rate in the NASCAR Cup Series and a 30% win rate in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Graduates won races on everything from the high banks of Talladega Superspeedway and Daytona International Speedway to the short tracks of North Wilkesboro Speedway and Richmond Raceway to the Chicago Street Course and Watkins Glen International.
