SRX - The Superstar Racing Experience saw two Skip Barber alumni on the podium at Lucas Oil Raceway. NASCAR Hall of Famer Bobby Labonte finished runner-up in a two-lap shoutout. Labonte redeemed himself after a DNF result last week at Eldora. Scott Speed continued to prove that he is talented in numerous disciplines by claiming the last step on the podium.
IndyCar - Skip Barber graduate Josef Newgarden dominated the IndyCar race at Mid-Ohio. Newgarden qualified on the pole and led all but 7 laps. The Mid-Ohio victory broke the 2021 winless streak for both Newgarden and Team Penske. NASCAR - Kyle Busch finished on the podium in both the NASCAR Cup Series race and NASCAR Xfinity Series race. In Busch’s fourth start in the Xfinity Series in 2021, he claimed his fourth win after taking the lead from fellow Skip Barber alumni AJ Allmendinger in the closing laps. He backed up his performance by finishing third in the Cup Series race after starting from the rear of the field and working his way through the field.
IMSA - Watkins Glen hosted the IMSA WeatherTech 240 and saw many Skip Barber alumni on the podium across multipleclasses. The Taylor brothers represented Skip Barber on the podium with Jordan Taylor grabbing the win in GTLM after qualifying on the pole and Ricky Taylor finishing third in DPI. Skip Barber grad Tristian Nunez finished second in LMP2. In LMP3, Dylan Murry finished second and a pair of graduates, Jonathan Bennett and Colin Braun, finished third.
