Skip Barber graduates Jordan Taylor and Bryan Sellers finished on the podium in their respective classes in this past weekend’s weather-shortened IMSA WeatherTech Championship race at Lime Rock Park. Over halfway through the race, nearby lightning strikes would bring out the checkered flag as Taylor claimed the Northeast Grand Prix victory in GTLM and Sellers finished second in GTD. The WeatherTech Championship returns to action August 6-8 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. In the Camping World SRX Series finale at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, Skip Barber alum Bill Elliot claimed a heat race win and a third-place finish in the feature. Awesome Bill from Dawsonville dominated the first heat race after fending off his son and last year’s NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Chase Elliot. Bill Elliot was the highest finishing Skip Barber graduate in the feature race finishing on the last step of the podium. Fellow Skip Barber graduate and NASCAR Champion Bobby Labonte ended the inaugural SRX Season third-place in points standings.
