Another solid weekend of racing for Skip Barber Graduates around the world, highlighted by star performances from graduates at the IMSA Chevrolet Grand Prix. IMSA travelled to Canada this weekend for their annual sprint race at the legendary Mosport. The fans that gathered for the event were treated to quite the chaotic and entertaining race. Skip Barber graduate Ricky Taylor and his teammate Filipe Albuquerque had a strong race battling in the top three of the GTP class all race. A late race pit stop under yellow shuffled them to the back of the class but they battled right back to the front with very few minutes remaining in the race. After a late race restart, Taylor’s number 10 Acura crossed the line 2nd in the GTP class followed by another Skip Barber graduate Connor de Phillippi in 3rd. More Skip Barber success came from the GTD Pro class, with Jordan Taylor taking home a victory in his Corvette C8 after leading the race for majority of the event. The GTD class also had a Skip Barber winner, where Bryan Sellers took home the win in his BMW M4. Across the pond at Silverstone, Skip Barber Graduate Sergio Perez had a massive comeback drive in the British Grand Prix. After having issues in qualifying, Perez had to start from 15th position. Sergio showed patience and maturity throughout the race, picking off his competitors one by one. In the closing laps of the race, Perez made multiple bold moves to move himself into 6th position salvaging a solid 8 championship points at the end of the day. The Nascar Truck Series racing at Mid-Ohio turned out to be a very entertaining and solid day for Skip Barber Graduates. After a large rainstorm and a delayed start, the trucks finally took the green flag. Skip Barber graduates were in the headlines throughout the race showing their skill in tricky race conditions. Skip Barber graduate Zane Smith scored an impressive 2nd place finish after starting in the 10th position. The Nascar Cup series travelled to Atlanta Motor Speedway in a very entertaining rain-shortened event. Skip Barber graduates battled through the field to get to the front but sadly ran out of time with impending rain closing in on the speedway. AJ Allmendinger secured a very solid 3rd place result at the end of the day, followed by Michael McDowell in 4th, putting himself in playoff contention at the end of the race. These two were followed by another graduate Kyle Busch in 5th place when the race was called at lap 185. Want to race where the champions race?
