Skip Barber Racing School graduate Tyler Reddick earned his sixth career NASCAR Cup Series win on Sunday while fellow Skip Barber alumni Noah Gragson and Anthony Alfredo both claimed their best career Cup Series finishes. Graduates Alex Bowman (5th) and Harrison Burton (10th) also finished in the top ten. In addition to a Skip Barber Racing School graduate winning the race, Skip Barber alumni swept the pair of stages with Austin Cindric winning Stage 1 and Joey Logano winning Stage 2. In addition to snagging his best career finish in the NASCAR Cup Series, Alfredo matched his best career NASCAR Xfinity Series finish with a third-place result in the Ag-Pro 300 on Saturday. On the West Coast, the NTT IndyCar Series and IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship descended upon the streets of Long Beach. Skip Barber Racing School graduates Colton Herta (2nd) and Josef Newgarden (4th) finished in the top five of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. Andretti Autosport’s Kyle Kirkwood (7th) and graduate Alexander Rossi (10th) also finished in the top ten on Sunday. In the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Robby Foley finished second in GT Daytona with fellow alumni Steven McAleer (4th) and Corey Lewis (5th) joining him in the top five. Lastly, Skip Barber Racing School graduate Sergio Perez finished third in the Chinese Grand Prix. Perez is second in the World Driver’s Championship standings after five rounds. Looking ahead to next weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series will head to Dover Motor Speedway while the NTT IndyCar Series and Indy NXT will visit Barber Motorsports Park.
