1894-1De Phillippi grabs third pole of the season

Elkhart Lake, Wis. (Aug. 22) – Connor De Phillippi picked up his third pole position of the season for this afternoon’s Round 9 of the 2009 BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda at Road America. The series points leader coming in the weekend, De Phillippi laid down a lap of 2:31.005 to edge MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development driver Dennis Trebing by .134 sec. on the 4-mile Road America course. Sage Karam will start third this afternoon followed by Spencer Pigot while the series most recent winner, MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development driver Court Vernon, rounding out the top five.
