Skip Barber Racing’s trio of rookies, who impressed mightily on their debut at Barber Motorsports Park, are back for another weekend of action in the World Racing League. Saverio Striglia III, Dylan Weber, and Ryan Emani scored a pair of top-five finishes in the No. 216 Skip Barber Racing School Toyota GR86 Cup car in the season opener. That weekend was the first event of sanctioned racing that the three drivers had competed in, adding to the triumph of the weekend. The trio will be joined by Robert Mosteller, a former Skip Barber Race Series driver, this weekend. Mosteller made his World Racing League debut at Barber Motorsports Park in an Aston Martin Vantage GT4. This weekend will serve as a warmup ahead of his Toyota GR Cup debut later in the SRO America season. “I’m excited to get into the Toyota GR Cup Car and prepare for Road Atlanta in SRO,” Mosteller said. “This weekend will be a good chance grab lots of seat time and I will use that as a learning opportunity. The goals are to learn as much as possible and try and bring home a podium.” Now, the three will head to another of the United States’ most iconic circuits, Road America for an eight-hour endurance race on Saturday that will be followed by a seven-hour endurance on Sunday. “Seeing Ryan, Dylan, and Saverio perform at Barber to open the season was so special,” Skip Barber Racing Team Manager Joe Monitto said. “It really showcased the power of the Skip Barber Racing School. Being able to take three drivers, all with an incredible passion for motorsports, put them through our schools and then get them on track for a true race weekend was deeply rewarding. Adding Robert to the team this weekend really rounds out our lineup. He is a hardworking driver and I know he will deliver for the team.” At Road America, Weber has his eyes set on improving his overall comfort-level with the car, while also building the confidence to trust the car in traffic. “My experience at Barber was awesome to say the least.” Weber said. “I think we all agreed as a team that getting the car across the finish line was the most important thing, but going from P10 to P4 on Saturday and P9 to P5 on Sunday in our first race was pretty cool. I’m hoping to improve on my overall speed and comfortability with the car in traffic management, which I think could help give me an edge earlier in the race and maybe make attacking and defending moves more confidently.” Follow along with Robert this season on his Instagram!
