Skip Barber Racing claimed podiums in TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School and McLaren Trophy, America in an action-packed weekend at Circuit of the Americas. Cooper Broll and Tommy Pintos combined for three podium finishes in McLaren Trophy, America, including a pair of second place results in the Pro Class. Broll and Pintos shared the No. 919 PiedParker McLaren Artura Trophy Evo for three races this weekend. The first 50-minute race served as a makeup for the rained-out race at Sonoma Raceway. Broll led multiple laps in Race 1 before handing the car to Pintos who climbed three spots in his stint to put the car into the overall top five. For Race 2, the pair swapped roles with Pintos taking the race start before conceding the controls to Broll who completed the race’s final twenty-minutes, capping off a run to second place in the Pro Class. Skip Barber Racing also found success in TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School. Michael Garcia in the No. 07 PolePace Acura Integra Type S scored a pair of third-place finishes. Garcia, in the series’ lone Acura Integra, battled with a pack of five Hyundai Elantras to earn his second podium of the weekend in Race 2. James Klimas in the No. 61 Middletown Toyota GR Corolla TC finished eighth in Race 1, the best finish of the burgeoning season for Klimas and the new GR Corolla TC. In GT4 America, Michael and Alex Garcia joined forces to pilot the No. 07 PolePace Aston Martin Vantage GT4 for the lone endurance round of the season. A cut tire left the team on the backfoot early in the race but perseverance from Michael, Alex, and the team, kept the car in the hunt for the three-hour race. Alex Garcia was also in action with the No. 14 PolePace Toyota GR86 in Toyota GR Cup North America. He scored a top fifteen finish in Race 1 after starting 19th. Next for Skip Barber Racing is Sebring International Raceway on May 15 – 18. There, TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School will host its first tripleheader of the season.
