Alton, Va. — Skip Barber Racing heads to its home track, VIRginia International Raceway, this weekend with four entries competing across four different championships. In addition to the team’s full‑season efforts in GT4 America, McLaren Trophy America, and TC America powered by Skip Barber Racing School, driver James Klimas will make his return to Toyota GR Cup North America, running a double program. Klimas, who competed in GR Cup last season, shifted his focus this year to the all‑new Toyota GR Corolla TC in TC America. At VIR, however, he’ll tackle both series in the same weekend. “I’m looking forward to one of my favorite tracks,” Klimas said. “VIR is where I started my career, taking the Three‑Day Racing School with Skip Barber. It’s going to be a busy weekend hopping between the Toyota GR Corolla and the Toyota GR86 Cup Car, but I’m excited—it’ll be my first time competing in both series, so wish me luck!” Brothers Alex and Michael Garcia continue their strong GT4 America campaign in the No. 07 PolePace Aston Martin Vantage GT4. The pair earned a breakthrough victory in challenging, rainy conditions at Sonoma Raceway and have since recorded back‑to‑back top‑five finishes, entering VIR fourth in the Am standings. "I’m beyond excited to get back behind the wheel of the pole pace #07 GT4 with my brother—there’s nothing like chasing down the track together," Alex said. "We’re locked in and ready to grab some more points this weekend!" In McLaren Trophy America, Cooper Broll (California) and Tommy Pintos (Spain) return in the No. 919 PiedParker McLaren Artura Trophy Evo. This marks their first race since April, though the duo completed a multi‑day test at VIR last week to prepare for this weekend’s competition.
