Skip Barber Racing will bring seven cars across three series to Road America for this weekend’s action in TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School, Toyota GR Cup North America, and GT4 America. The team is coming off a tremendous weekend at its home race at VIRginia International Raceway where it amassed three wins and six podiums. In TC America, Skip Barber Racing is currently second in the TCX Team’s Championship and has won four of the last five races in the TCA class with Alex Garcia. Additionally, Skip Barber Racing is sixth in the Toyota GR Cup North America Team’s Championship. Alex Garcia – No. 14 Skip Barber Racing School Honda Civic Si FE1 & No. 14 Orlando Family Medical Toyota GR Cup Car Alex Garcia will not have far to travel for this weekend’s race as the Floridian is coming off a weekend of competition in the Skip Barber Race Series at Road America. He finished with a pair of top ten finishes in the Skip Barber Formula Car and will now swap his open-wheel ride for the Honda Civic Si FE1 that he has commanded to three consecutive victories and will be keen to compete in his Toyota GR Cup Car. After driving all weekend in the Skip Barber Race Series, I’m confident I will be able to succeed this weekend in Toyota GR Cup North America and TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School.” Celso Neto – No. 22 Skip Barber Racing School Acura Integra Type S VIRginia International Raceway was a break-thru weekend for Celso Neto who secured his first win of the season and followed it up with a strong second-place run one day later. Last season at Road America, Celso finished on the podium in the TC class. Celso Neto: “I’m excited to head to the National Park of Speed this weekend, it’s one of my favorite tracks. I believe our Acura Integra Type S will be strong with the new balance of performance changes as well as the developmental work that Skip Barber Racing has been making all season. We’ve got high hopes for a successful weekend, and I believe we’re going to deliver on those hopes.” Cooper Broll – No. 19 PiedParker Acura Integra Type S With a resilient effort at VIRginia International Raceway, Cooper Broll netted his first-career podium finish in the TCX class of TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School. The podium finish at VIR seemed inevitable for those who have kept a keen eye on Broll’s development in 2024. With the help of Skip Barber Racing School instructors and a strong commitment towards improvement, Broll has positioned himself well for a strong run in the final three rounds of the season. Cooper Broll: “Road America is one of the most intriguing tracks on the schedule. As the longest and one of the fastest, it’s definitely a significant challenge! I’m both excited and a bit nervous to return, especially in a much faster car. It’s going to be tough, but I know it’s going to be a fantastic experience with the team from Skip Barber Racing. The people, the parade, and the scenic beauty of the area make it easily one of my favorites.” James Klimas – No. 61 Middletown Toyota GR Cup Car The remarkable rookie season of James Klimas will continue to Road America where the Connecticut-based driver will take his first laps around the famed track. Since the start of the season, Klimas has steadily progressed in the ultra-competitive midfield of Toyota GR Cup North America. James Klimas: “Road America seems like an incredibly fun track. I’ve spent hours on the simulator and can’t wait to experience it in person. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for good weather for the race weekend, I believe dry conditions will suit the car and myself best. Regardless, I know the team at Skip Barber Racing will have the No. 61 Middletown Toyota GR Cup Car ready to take on the weekend.” Will Lambros – No. 77 Skip Barber Racing School Toyota GR Cup Car It was an elbows-out weekend for Will Lambros at VIRginia International Raceway as he battled the elements and the competition in the always-fierce midfield of Toyota GR Cup North America. Despite the tricky conditions, Lambros guided the No. 77 Skip Barber Racing School Toyota GR Cup Car to a top-fifteen finish in Race 1. Will Lambros: “I’m looking forward to this weekend at Road America, it’s going to be a very tactical race and qualifying well is going to be important. The track’s long straights are going to place a premium on the draft and we’re going to see a lot of close racing, I’m excited for it. Everyone with Skip Barber Racing has done a tremendous job this season and I know we’re prepared for the weekend.” Marc & Tyler Sharinn – No. 16 Skip Barber Racing School Aston Martin Vantage GT4 The father-son duo of Marc and Tyler Sharinn drove to a pair of seventh-place finishes in the AM class of GT4 America at VIRginia International Raceway and they will head to Road America with a car that’s familiar with the track. The No. 16 Skip Barber Racing School Aston Martin Vantage GT4 recently competed in IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge with NASCAR star Ross Chastain and IMSA Diversity winner and SBRS Instructor, Ken Fukuda. The team at Skip Barber Racing is confident the car will roll off the truck strong. Marc Sharinn: “Since jumping into the GT4 America season at COTA, it’s been a blast. Skip Barber Racing has made things as smooth as possible and the guidance from the instructors has been tremendous in helping Tyler and I get up to speed.
