Braselton, Ga. (July 22, 2014) - Skip Barber Racing School is excited to announce the upcoming schedule for the 2014-2015 Winter Series presented by Mazda. With new tracks, strong competitors and several enticing prizes at stake, it will be a thrilling winter season!
 
The Skip Barber Winter Series is known for racing at the best tracks in North America and the the 2014-2015 season will hold up to that tradition. The Formula Skip Barber class of the series will consist of 6 race weekends around the country. For the MX-5 series, the Winter Series will consist of 3 race weekends and the cars will be prepped in Pro Challenge trim, meaning faster cars and better handling. In addition to more powerful cars, the MAZDASPEED Challenge will introduce a new bundled price point to entice more drivers to jump into sedan racing!
 
With it's time tested "Arrive and Drive" format - ensuring that every racer has access to the same equipment regardless of their ability to spend, Skip Barber Racing School is the purest form of racing. World class instruction, world renowned tracks set the stage for an action packed winter season of racing.

2014-2015 Winter Series Formula Skip Barber

  • 6 Race Weekends (each race will have its own qualifying session)
  • 6 Race Weekends (2 races per group)
  • Top 5 earn a spot in the 2015 Skip Barber Championship Shootout
  • Total of $162,500 in available awards
  • Drop lowest race result
  • Able to transfer 1 double for points (Formula only)

 

2014-2015 Winter Series MAZDASPEED Challenge

  • 3 Race Weekends (each race will have its own qualifying session)
  • 3 Race Weekends (2 races per group)
  • Lapping Sessions Included in Bundled Price
  • Total of up to $50000 in available awards
  • Drop lowest race result

Rounds 5 & 6 at Homestead-Miami Speedway Road Course - January 14-18, 2015 - Formula/MX-5 
Rounds 7 & 8 at Track to Be Determined- February 2015 
Rounds 9 & 10 at Track to Be Determined - March 2015 
Rounds 11 & 12 at Sebring International Raceway - April 7-11, 2015 - Formula Only
