Half of the drivers who finished Sunday’s AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 from Texas Motor Speedway are graduates of the Skip Barber Racing School. The 23XI duo of Tyler Reddick (4th) and Bubba Wallace (7th) carried the Skip Barber Racing School banner in the NASCAR Cup Series. Just behind Reddick and Wallace were Austin Dillon (8th), Kyle Busch (9th), and Carson Hocevar (10th). Sunday’s top-ten finish for Busch was his second of the weekend following a dominating win in the SpeedyCash.com 250 on Friday night in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Busch was joined by fellow graduates Christian Eckes (4th) and Tanner Gray (8th) in Friday’s top ten. AJ Allmendinger’s fourth-place finish in the Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 was the first of four graduates in the top ten along with Austin Hill (6th), Sammy Smith (8th), and Anthony Alfredo (10th). This weekend, graduates in the NTT IndyCar Series, IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship, and GT America will head to the streets of Long Beach for a full slate of races. Skip Barber Racing School graduate Sergio Perez will compete in the Formula 1 Lenovo Chinese Grand Prix. It will be the first time since 2019 that the Chinese Grand Prix is held.
