Skip Barber Racing, in conjunction with Resilience Racing and Team BRIT, will enter a trio of cars into the annual Veterans Race of Remembrance at VIRginia International Raceway.. Among the entries are two cars which will be driven by a team consisting of military veterans and disabled drivers, and a second entry driven by a pair of rising stars from the Skip Barber Formula Race Series. Forming the lineup in the No. 16 Skip Barber Racing School Aston Martin Vantage GT4 will be Robert Mosteller and Logan Anderson. Mosteller and Anderson both competed, and found success, in the Skip Barber Race Series earlier this season with Mosteller scoring a podium finish in the most recent round at VIRginia International Raceway. Anderson, meanwhile, is coming off his career-best weekend where he scored 56 points off the back of two top-five finishes in the Race Series. This will be the GT4 debut for both Anderson and Mosteller and they will be competing in the race’s top class, the Freedom Class. In the team’s second entry are four drivers, each who have physical disabilities, and will be taking the wheel of the Aston Martin Vantage. Jon Winker and Adam Poppenhouse are veterans who have sustained injuries during their US military careers and are now part of Resilience Racing. Paul Fullick is a lower leg amputee following a motorbike crash and Aaron Morgan is paraplegic following a motocross accident – both are drivers for UK-based Team BRIT – the world’s only competitive team of all-disabled racing drivers. . The car has been modified with Team BRIT’s hand controls, which enable disabled drivers to compete on equal terms. That entry, the No. 249 Aston Martin R15 will be competing in the race’s top class. The final entry, the No. 240 Mustang owned by Resilience Racing, will be driven by Calum Beldun, Bryan Winker, Caleb McDuff, and Jon Winker. Beldun is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and Bryan Winker served in the United States Army. Caleb McDuff is Team BRIT’s youngest driver at just 17, and is Deaf. The Veteran’s Race of Remembrance is organized by Operation Motorsport, a group whose goal is to provide a welcoming and empowering environment where veterans, active-duty personnel, and their families can find camaraderie, healing, and purpose. “This is a great event for the team to participate in,” Skip Barber Racing’s Team Manager Joe Monitto said. “We’ve got a really exciting driver lineup with Robert and Logan joining us from the Race Series and our all-veteran lineup in the R15 Aston Martin.
