Skip Barber Racing will bring five entries across four different series to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend as it caps off a 2025 season that has seen the team claim victories in GT4 America and McLaren Trophy, America.
McLaren Trophy, America
Cooper Broll and Tommy Pintos will return to action in the No. 919 Pied Parker McLaren Artura Trophy Evo with a shot at the Pro Class championship within their reach. Bolstered by a sweep at Road America and five runner-up finishes, Broll and Pintos would find themselves the inaugural champions of McLaren Trophy, America with a pair of victories this weekend. “We’ve worked incredibly hard all season — as a team, as a family within Skip Barber and McLaren — and arriving at Indianapolis with a real shot at the title feels special,” Pintos said. “Indy is a place that breathes racing history, and we’re ready to give everything to bring home our first championship in the U.S. “To be here, fighting for the title, shows the effort behind every weekend — from the team at Skip Barber to everyone who has supported us from day one. For brothers Alex Garcia and Michael Garcia, their first season in GT4 America started out with a bang, claiming a victory in the rain at Sonoma Raceway. Since then, the duo has gone on to add six podiums to their season. The duo has not finished worse than fourth since Round 3 at Circuit of the Americas and are just eight points behind third-place in the AM Driver’s Championship, as is Skip Barber Racing in the AM Team’s Championship. One notable change for the Garcia brothers will be the car itself; the pair will move into the No. 07 PolePace BMW M4 GT4 for the season finale. Skip Barber Racing is entering a pair of cars in this weekend’s trio of races in TC America. Full-season driver James Klimas will continue his pursuits in the No. 61 Middletown Toyota GR Corolla TC. Meanwhile Dean Lambros will make his Skip Barber Racing debut in the No. 17 Acura Integra Type S. Lambros previously competed in the Skip Barber Formula Race Series where he finished second in the 2024 season to rookie Oliver Wheldon. Additionally, Dean follows in the footsteps of his older brother Will as a member of Skip Barber Racing. “I’m very excited to run TC America with Skip Barber Racing,” Lambros said. “It’s going to be a learning curve with the front wheel drive Acura, but I’ve been using the Skip Barber Simulator Center to prepare and train ahead of the race weekend. I know this Skip Barber crew and myself are going to put a great weekend together. Lastly, James Klimas will again tackle double-duty with the No. 61 Middletown Toyota GR86. Klimas had competed fulltime in Toyota GR Cup last season before moving his focus to TC America and the all-new GR Corolla TC. Since then, the Connecticut-based driver has added a scattering of outings in Toyota GR Cup to his calendar.
