Preview Rounds 3 & 4: Winter Series at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
Braselton, GA. (Dec. 8). December 9-11th, the racers of the Skip Barber presents the Mazda Winter Series compete at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for Rounds 3 and 4 of the twelve race season. Last month Nick Neri, a scholarship recipient from the Annual Karting Scholarship Shootout, took the first win of the Formula Skip Barber season, with Jack Mitchell Jr. taking the win for Round 2 at Road Atlanta. Jake Eidson had a strong weekend, being the only driver to place on the podium for both races. Heading into Rounds 3 and 4, Neri leads the championship with Eidson just one point behind. In the MAZDASPEED Challenge, Skip Barber Master Kieron O’Rourke and Grand Master Dr. Mike Edwards were the two winners of the season opener, but Grand Master Steve Randall finished the weekend on the top of the championship point standings, finishing third and second in both races.
