Part 3 of our Technical Analysis is more than just a discussion of the upcoming MX-5 Race Series, as we unveil a new name for Skip Barber's Mazda MX-5 Miata-based racing programs. MX-5 Racing Schools will be called Skip Barber MAZDASPEED Racing Schools while the Skip Barber MX-5 Cup Race Series becomes the Skip Barber MAZDASPEED Challenge. In Part 1, we discussed the construction of the MX-5 Cup racecars. Part 2 detailed the racing school. In Part 3, we discuss the Skip Barber MAZDASPEED Challenge, which launches on April 5-6 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Skip Barber MAZDASPEED Challenge format mirrors that of the Skip Barber Regional Race Series, with
Lapping ($1,095) and Practice ($1,195) available prior each Race Weekend ($2,995). The Race Weekend will include a qualifying session and two races.
