The Skip Barber Summer Series Finale Is Here

unnamed-4
Braselton, GA. (Oct 15, 2014) – The Skip Barber Racing School Summer Series presented by Mazda will reach its highly anticipated conclusion this week at the iconic Lime Rock Park.

In the Formula Skip Barber championship points battle, Luke Gabin and Michai Stephens have a mere 7 points between them. The two come from different racing backgrounds, but both clearly have exceptional talent. Gabin, the champion for the 2013 Karts to Cars Shootout, and Stephens, the champion for the 2013 INDYCAR Academy, have proven to be formidable foes in the series exchanging wins at tracks across the country.

Another outstanding racer in contention for the championship is Ben Auriemma who currently sits in third in the championship point standings. Auriemma has had a consistently strong showing in the series and with the absence of Michai Stephens from the weekend, his eyes will be focused on the championship. Jackie Ding and Nikita Lastochkin will also be in podium contention. Lastochkin currently sits in fourth, and Ding in fifth place. This last race weekend will determin the outcome of the season for these three racers.

In the MAZDASPEED Challenge championship, Rookie Sam Adams continues to showcase his talent. He currently sits in the top spot with Master Michael Auriemma 12 points behind. Mac Korince will also need to have a strong showing at Lime Rock Park to keep his podium spot of third as Master Brad Roudebush is only 8 points behind Korince.

In the Master's championship point standings, veteran racer Pat Daly is 16 points ahead of Gus Doppes. The weekend will definitely be full of action and excitement as Skip Barber Racing School will crown two new champions in the respective Race Series classes.
