Wednesday, March 19, 2008 LAKEVILLE, Conn. - The two most recent BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda champions – 2006’s Jonathan Goring and 2007’s Joel Miller – scorched their respective fields, both of them winning in their debuts in their respective 2008 campaigns.

Miller took pole then waltzed to the win in the Star Mazda race at Sebring during the Mobil 1 12-hour weekend, while Goring was equally dominant, victorious on both ends of an IMSA Lites double-header.

Goring, who just turned 18, is coming off a 2007 Star Mazda campaign when the youngster from Norfolk, Conn., won one race, came home third two times and scored a total of seven top-10 finishes. In Goring’s title-winning 2006 Skip Barber National campaign, he won four races, finished in the top five four other times, set fastest race-lap twice and took three pole positions.

Miller, also 18 and from Hesperia, Calif., took the 2007 Skip Barber National championship with five wins, two poles and a total of 10 podium finishes. Miller led 46 of the year’s 162 total laps.
